GHO is a grassroots organization whose members participate in various activities both locally and around the state. We have strong convictions as to issues that need to be addressed, both political and social, and do our best to participate and try to make a difference.

Haverhill Goes Green
an Eart Day Fair for the Entire Family!


There will be speakers, vendors, demonstrations, music and more at Winnekinni Castle on Route 110 in Haverhill from Noon to 4:00 PM. The event will focus on how we can take advantage of new green technologies to save money and reduce our carbon footprint. At the event, you will also learn about local farms and the benefits of buying locally-grown food. The event is sponsored by Haverhill's Brightside. North Shore OFA Listening Tour

Organizing for America has officially landed in Massachusetts!

Whether you were active in the campaign or not, the Obama Administration wants your talents, your ideas and your best energies. John Spears, recently named the State Director for Organizing for America (OFA) in Massachusetts, facilitated the discussion and brought us up-to-date on OFA’s upcoming activities here in Massachusetts and beyond -- see below.

Those of us who were there, learned about the following initiatives in our area:
  • MA Statewide Day of Action:
    Saturday, October 17
  • Time to Deliver Nationwide Day of Action: Tuesday, October 20
  • The One Year Anniversary of the Election: Wednesday, November 4
