Featured Volunteer Experience
Pease Greeters was formed to cheer the troops as they go overseas and to welcome those who are returning to the States. Greeters are alerted about an hour prior to flights arriving or departing from Pease Air National Guard Base in Pease, NH (approximately 30 miles from Haverhill). If you are interested in becoming a Greeter, please contact Ed Johnson. Donations are also welcome (see site for details).

Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of low-income homeowners. The organization's mission is to "to preserve and revitalize houses and communities assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly those who are elderly, disabled or families with children, live in warmth, safety and independence." - Cooking and serving meals at Mitch's Shelter, particularly Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Cleaning, weeding, landscaping, painting around Emmaus properties
- Crafts and games with the guests at Safe Haven
- Collecting donations at the Family Shelter
- Answering phone/door at the Family Shelter on Saturday and/or Sunday mornings
- Collecting weekly donations from local food markets, etc.
- Volunteers willing to lift and transport food donations
- Volunteers to assist in computer and life skills programs

Volunteers agree to volunteer once a week during the Newport Rhode Island Public school calendar year. - "Cook with Us" Volunteer Cooks Needed (Dinners) -- Rebound Adolescent and Family Treatment Center: 1 Moon Island Road
- Front Desk Help Needed -- Jamaica Plain, MA (Administrative and secretarial experience preferred.)
- "Powerful Words - Positive Results" Speaker Series -- Quincy, MA: Each speaker (anyone who feels that they have something to contribute positively to the development of at-risk boys fighting drug and alcohol abuse and issues within the legal system) agrees to host a one-time, 3-hour presentation that features a workshop for 20 residents.
- Computer Champions -- Quincy, MA: Volunteers dedicate two hours a week to teaching teen boys basic to advanced computer skills.
- Calling All Tutors -- Rebound Adolescent and Family Treatment Center, 1 Moon Island Road: Volunteers are needed to assist residents in Junior High and High School level subjects.
- Caring Gifts Fill Crucial Needs -- Essential necessities needed for residents of Rebound, Casa Isla, Shiloh House, and Hello Houses programs.
