There are numerous volunteer experiences available in our local nursing homes. They are always looking for people to help out. The people in these places worked hard all their lives and can no longer take care of themselves in their own homes. Thus, they must spend the twilight of their lives away from family and friends.

disabled, the mentally ill, and/or the homeless population, all
volunteers are required to consent to a CORI (Criminal Background) check before beginning
any volunteer work. It may take from 2 to 4 weeks for the CORI report to come back.
